Our Nourishing Roots

Our Nourishing Roots

Our Nourishing Roots is written by Kendahl Millecam, where she explores all the different ways to connect to the Earth through real food practices and finding a path to vibrant health. Kendahl is stay-at-home-parent with a penchant for ambitious desserts, barefoot running in goofy shoes, and talking your ear off if you let her. Kendahl has two little boys, and she and her husband live in the beautiful desert of Arizona. In 2008, Kendahl was pregnant with her second son and found out he was going to be born with a cleft lip and palate and other health problems. Having recently read Nourishing Traditions, she started implementing it’s practices over the next two years, starting with cod liver oil, pastured eggs, and raw milk and then moving on to sprouting, soaking, and dabbling in GAPS. Her whole family now happily enjoys their food, and has energy to go play hard whenever possible. Without exception, each member of the family has found improved health after the WAPF diet shfit.

Kendahl has a B.A. in Modern Dance, enjoys volunteering at Phoenix Youth at Risk as a mentor coach and participation manager for the Coronado school-based program, and wants to go back to school for a counseling degree. She also loves reading about health, wellness, mindfulness, and evolution, riding her bike to Trader Joe’s with her kids, visiting the beach, getting massages, and the satisfaction of growing herbs in her garden.
